A little bit about me…
Hi! I’m Betsy and I’m sincerely glad that you’re here.
Truth: The About Me section always challenges me. What do people really want to know? How do I write this section without being too me, me, me? Right. It’s the About Me section.
Over the years, I’ve had so many blessings in my career and in my role as a mother to serve in a creative capacity with people who have mentored and inspired me. These same people have helped me see where my talents and strengths can be put into purposeful action.
With three decades devoted to communications, marketing, rebranding organizations, and individual professional coaching, I felt called to come home to raise my boys and it’s the best decision I ever made.
Today, my focus continues to be on serving my family. I am also enthusiastic about being back here in a creative capacity to serve and support Catholic women, and (a few great men, if interested!), in faith-based lifestyle wellness from a convert’s perspective.

THE LONGER STORY…
In 2009, I married Terry, my best friend and love of my life. He introduced me to the Catholic church after years of searching for a faith home. I now know that I was searching for truth. We attended noon weekday Mass frequently while we were dating, and I remember feeling awkward, lost (of course there were no misselettes), yet incredibly curious. At the same time, I was resistant. It was unfamiliar. Yet, it was important to Terry, so it became important to me. There was a sense of reverence and holiness that had been missing throughout my quest for God, so I attended RCIA to learn more, but still with a solid plan of how to bring him into my church.
The joke was on me. Isn’t it always once we realize we are NOT in control?!
Despite my best efforts to bring Terry into my Protestant roots, God, and our Blessed Mother, had other plans for me. Praise!
My life took a holy detour when I was confirmed in the Catholic church in 2008. My life pivoted fairly quickly and has never been the same since. The infinite blessings of saying “YES!” to God’s call for me to join the Catholic church have been abundant.
Professionally, after two multi-industry decades, in what I fondly refer to as my “brand janitor” years (when I tidied up brands and organizational operations), I left behind my corporate communications, PR, marketing, and branding roles to return home to raise my sons, who were 1 and 3 years old.
This choice was the BEST choice I ever made for our family, and me..
Once home, I developed a flexible business, Betsy Harvey Inc., which eventually evolved into a faith-based personal branding platform for women and small businesses. This allowed me to be home and help businesses and individuals with their brand positioning from 2013 to 2016.
Unfortunately, difficult times came in spring 2016 when my husband’s parents became ill. After prayer and a sense of deep urgency, we discerned moving and left Atlanta for the Philadelphia suburbs that summer. To say that we were in hard times was an understatement. My husband’s father died just weeks before we moved here, then his mother became more ill and she passed away the following November. My mother died 6 months to the day of my mother-in-law after battling the comorbidities of cancer and Type 2 diabetes. We lost three parents in 18 months, and I cannot express how much my faith and total dependence on God grew during this shaky time.
Grief was overwhelming, but I can share with confidence and joy that the fruit from this awful season was that I poured myself into learning how to live a healthier life after watching all three of them exit this life so unwell.
After three years of schooling and certifications, I earned my National Board Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching during the height of the COVID-19 shutdown. This evidence-based approach to helping others make lasting lifestyle wellness changes was just what the world needed. While this achievement completed a missing piece of my coaching training and it would have greatly benefited clients, the timing was nearly impossible to market an alternative point of view during a contentious era in healthcare. After much discernment, I paused my coaching plans, enjoyed a few years working at our sons’ school in marketing, and the fruits of that position have been numerable.
Today, after a few years of prayer and discernment, I am grateful for God’s persistent nudge. Sharing life experiences, professional education, and combining it with my enthusiasm for our faith, is a dream come true. Having a place to have real conversations that could really help people, even if just for one day, is a great privelge. .There are too many topics that affect our daily lives that need to be discussed in an open, uncut, and relatable way. I look forward to bringing specialists and experts on specific topics to deepen the conversation. A little (or a lot of levity) will bring some extra sunshine to the broadcast too!
I am grateful and blessed to share this space in life with you, and look forward to what God’s plan is for this platform.
Be well and God Bless!
